On the one hand, it's easy for us to believe that we are gods, so knowing that God loves us can make us feel incorrectly superior. On the other hand, this superiority can result in a lack of security because, as you said, our love is contingent and conditional at best. It's this irony (finding security in humility, rather than in human superiority) that is ultimately fulfilling yet is so hard for so many people to grasp... but when you do, WOW! Look out! The fullness of God's self-revelation is incredible and overpowering!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
